Ever since I left Zion (my vicarage church) I have missed having my sermons online. I know my parents and a few of my pastor friends like to listen to what I am preaching on and they have not let me forget they miss my sermon audio too. Unfortunately we don’t post our sermons online here at Trinity (yet) so I have have been working on the best way to record them and then get them onto the web. Yesterday after working on this site and the recordings from noon till about 5 when Jess got home, I think I have things together.

So I hope you enjoy the sermons I have recorded thus far since being here at Trinity, and you can look forward to more sermons as they are written.

It’s been a long time since I blogged as my friend Brandt told me the other day. Since the last update, I have been ordained (I’m a real pastor now) and have been installed at Trinity Lutheran in Hicksville, NY. Don’t let the name fool you; Hicksville is one of the most developed areas of Long Island with a population of around 41,000.

All in all, things are really good here. I am enjoying my work and I love the area. It’s great to be able to take a short train ride over to Times Square or Central Park. Jess took this picture of The Statue of Liberty from the boat tour. She took the tour the other day and Sandra Bullock was on the boat next to her talking with her friends and imitating Sarah Palin. New York’s a crazy place.
